Sep 26, 2013 If you select the Use custom settings to generate the key pair and CA certificate check box when you choose the type of CA to install, you can select the cryptographic service provider (CSP) to use. The CSP generates the public key and private key pair and performs cryptographic operations on behalf of the CA. Generate a Secure Shell (SSH) key pair for an SFTP dropbox. You create a pair of keys: a private key that resides on your client computer and a public key that your dropbox server uses. Both keys must be in place for your computer to connect to your dropbox. Click the Save public key button and save the public key with the name id-rsa. How to Generate a Public/Private Key Pair for Use With Solaris Secure Shell. Users must generate a public/private key pair when their site implements host-based authentication or user public-key authentication. For additional options, see the ssh-keygen(1) man page. Before You Begin.
- Returns the updated struct. If a structure does not exist, ColdFusion throws an exception. If a key exists and allowoverwrite = 'False', there is also an exception.
- Mar 14, 2016 This video goes over how to generate either a PGP 9, or NAI7 key pair within FTP Manager. The video also covers the public PGP key export process, to provide a vendor with your key for encryption.
How to Generate a Public/Private KeyPair for Use With Solaris Secure Shell
Users must generate a public/private key pair when their site implementshost-based authentication or user public-key authentication. For additionaloptions, see the ssh-keygen(1) manpage.
Before You Begin
Determine from your system administrator if host-based authenticationis configured.
- Start the key generation program.where -t is the type of algorithm, one of rsa, dsa, or rsa1.
- Specify the path to the file that will hold the key.Bydefault, the file name id_rsa, which represents an RSAv2 key, appears in parentheses. You can select this file by pressing the Return key. Or, you can type an alternative file name. The file name of the public key is created automatically by appendingthe string .pub to the name of the private key file.
- Type a passphrase for using your key. This passphraseis used for encrypting your private key. A null entry is stronglydiscouraged. Note that the passphrase is not displayed when youtype it in.
- Retype the passphrase to confirm it.
- Check the results.Check that the path to the keyfile is correct. At this point, you have created a public/private key pair.
- Choose the appropriate option:
- If your administrator has configuredhost-based authentication, you might need to copy the local host's publickey to the remote host. You can now log in to the remote host. For details, see How to Log In to a Remote Host With Solaris Secure Shell.
- Type the command on one line with no backslash.
- When you are prompted, supply your login password.
- If your site uses user authentication with public keys, populateyour authorized_keys file on the remote host.
- Copy your public key to the remote host.Type thecommand on one line with no backslash.
- When you are prompted, supply your login password.Whenthe file is copied, the message “Key copied” is displayed.
- (Optional) Reduce the prompting for passphrases. For a procedure, see How to Reduce Password Prompts in Solaris Secure Shell. For more information, see the ssh-agent(1) and ssh-add(1) man pages.
Example 19–2 Establishing a v1 RSA Key for a User

In the following example, the user cancontact hosts that run v1 of the Solaris Secure Shell protocol. To be authenticated by v1hosts, the user creates a v1 key, then copies the public key portion to theremote host.
Description
To establish a connection with a secure FTP server, use the open action with a connection attribute, specify that secure = 'yes', and specify the key, passphrase, and fingerprint as appropriate.
Note: You can specify this tag's attributes in an attributeCollection attribute whose value is a structure. Specify the structure name in the attributeCollection attribute and use the tag's attribute names as structure keys. |

Attributes
Attribute | Req/Opt | Default | Description |
---|---|---|---|
action | Required | FTP operation to perform.
| |
connection | Optional, but always used with open or close | Name of the FTP connection. If you specify the username, password, and server attributes, and if no connection exists for them, ColdFusion creates one. Calls to cfftp with the same connection name reuse the connection. | |
fingerprint | Optional. Used only when server, username, and password are supplied | Fingerprint of the host key in the form ssh-dss.ssh-rsa, which is a 16-byte unique identifier for the server attribute that you specify, The fingerprint consists of eight pairs of hexadecimal values in the form hh:hh:hh:hh::hh:hh:hh:hh. ColdFusion checks the fingerprint of the remote server only if the fingerprint value is specified. | |
key | Required if action='open' (}}When {{secure='yes', either password or key is required.) | Public-key based authentication. Refers to the absolute path to the private key of the user. Possession of a private key provides authentication by sending a signature created with a private key. The server must ensure that the key is a valid authentication for the user and that the signature is valid. Both must be valid to accept the authentication. | |
passive | Optional | no | Valid only if secure='no'.
|
passphrase | Optional. Used when key is specified | Because private keys are stored in an encrypted form on the client host, the user must supply a passphrase to enable generating the signature. | |
password | Required if action='open' (}}When {{secure='yes', either password or key is required.) | Password to log in the user. | |
port | Optional | 21 | Remote port to which to connect. |
proxyServer | Optional | String. Name of proxy server (or servers) to use, if proxy access is specified. | |
retryCount | Optional | 1 | Number of retries until failure is reported. |
secure | Optional | no |
|
server | Required if action='open' | FTP server to which to connect; for example, ftp.myserver.com. | |
stopOnError | Optional | no |
|
timeout | Optional | 30 | Value in seconds for the time-out of all operations, including individual data request operations. |
username | Required if action='open' | User name to pass in the FTP operation. |

Coldfusion Generate Private Public Key Pair 2017
The cfftp tag lets you open a connection to a Secure Shell (SSH) server by using either symmetric or asymmetric encryption. To use symmetric encryption, you specify secure='yes', the user name, password, connection, and fingerprint. To use asymmetric encryption, first generate private-public key pairs for each user authorized to have access to the server. Each authorized user's public key is stored on the server; each user's private key is encrypted and stored on that user's computer. To open a connection to the SSH server, you specify secure='yes', the user name, the password, or the private key and the passphrase that the server uses to decrypt the private key, connection, and fingerprint. Cs cz cd key generator. After you open the connection to the SSH server, you can use that connection for any action supported by the cfftp tag. To keep a connection open throughout a session or longer, put the connection name in the Session or Application scope; for example, specify connection='Session.FTPConnection'. However, if you do this, specify the full variable name in all FTP operations, and use the close action when you are finished. Keeping a connection open prevents others from using the FTP server; so close a connection as soon as possible. If you do not assign the connection name to Session or Application variable, the connection remains open for the current page only, and you do not have to close it manually. Changes to a cached connection, such as changing retryCount or timeout values, might require reestablishing the connection.
